Plate I
We want to see your everyday life from Japan.
Somewhere in the world, someone is having breakfast. Someone is arguing with their mother. Someone is walking home alone. Someone is sitting beside a person they love.
Plate II
We want to know what makes you sad. What you envy. What hurts. What makes you lose hope.
And what gives it back.
What you reach for when you need help. What gives you courage. What, or who, you are trying to give your life to.
Plate III
We may never visit your town. We may never speak your language.
Plate IV
We crossed an ocean, but the streets still felt familiar.
Different buildings. Different voices. The same everyday rhythm.
Plate V
But through a few pages of comics, perhaps we can see a little of your world.
SOMEWHERE is a small project from Japan, looking for everyday stories from around the world.
Our first theme is FAMILY.
Your family does not have to be unusual.
A story can begin with something small.
We want to see what you see.
You don't need to be a professional comic artist.
Four pages is enough. A small story is enough.
And four pages is not a rule.
If you already have a comic you want someone, somewhere, to read, send it to us.
